Why Linuxbroker is called "Linuxbroker"?

Because the goal of the site is to provide means to all Linux users to find each others over the Internet and to exchange all types of information on the subject.

I have typed a single word in the search engine but it is slow!

Be wordy! The search engine is referencing more than half a million pages on this site. And due to the internal search engine architecture (htdig) the more occurrences the engine finds, the longest it takes to build the result page. So in this context typing "linux" or "modem" is not a clever idea, you will get faster results by querying something like "apache mod ssl virtual server".

How many pages does the site contain?

As of today (01/01/2001) the site contains more than 580000 pages. Roughly, this number increases by 40'000 pages per month.

Sometime the content of a page is blank, why?

Every hour, we are grabbing data from miscellaneous sources. If for some reason the process is not achieved (e.g. site down or a missing file) the result is a blank page being display. You are most welcome to send us a message to inform us.

Via the "contact us" I sent a message with a Linux related question but I never received an answer.

The "Contact Us" message facility is made for you to send messages to the webmasters and therefore is more related to the site and its content. Although we usually try to answer to some of users queries, we don't have enough time to answer to queries like "how do I install Linux".
